Alfred N. DeBauche, of Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, December 2, 2021, with his family at his side, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Al was born on September 4, 1928, in Two Rivers, a son of the late August and Mary (Renier) DeBauche. Al served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 7, 1956, he married Christine VanLaarhoven at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Coleman. Al was a supervisor at Mirro for over 40 years and after retirement worked at the Two Rivers Cemeteries. He was an avid bowler and golfer, staying active well into his 80's. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, followed the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers and regularly attended Sunday Mass.
Survivors include his wife: Christine DeBauche; two daughters: Karen and Dr. James Kemmerling of Ruskin, Florida and Sandra Farrell and fiancé’, Frank Gehrke of Manitowoc; grandchildren: Amanda Ramirez, Jason Kemmerling, Jeremy Kemmerling, Kristin (Derek) Harvieux and Joseph Kemmerling; and great grandchildren: Cyrus, Tristan, Zaara, Sadie and Sophie. He is further survived by his in-laws: Jean DeBauche, Joan Bushmaker Marx, Veronica (John) Walker, Peter (Judy) VanLaarhoven and Margaret Hartwig; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Agnes Gordon (Don) Ploor (Fritz), Beatrice (Fritz) Nies, Harold “Buddy” (Vicky) DeBauche, Bernice (Glenn) Schultz, Russel DeBauche and Phillip DeBauche and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Christ and Patricia VanLaarhoven.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Military honors will be accorded at the church immediately following the service by members of VFW Post #1248 and American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
