Andrew E. Holschbach

March 12, 1928 — June 28, 2022

Andrew E. Holschbach, age 94, rural Two Rivers resident was peacefully called home by his heavenly father on the evening of Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Andrew was born at the family home in Manitowoc on March 12, 1928 to Alphonse and Mary (Svatek) Holschbach. On June 25, 1949 he was united in marriage to Marion Kleiber at St. Joseph's Church in Alverno. The couple was blessed with eight children and fifty-six years of marriage. Marion preceded him in death on February 22, 2006. Together, the couple ran a dairy farm in the Francis Creek area for many years, while Andy also worked full time at Kaufman Mfg. Company of Manitowoc. He retired from Kaufman Mfg. as plant superintendent in 1990 after 46 years of service.

In his younger days, he loved dancing, gardening, fishing & hunting. Deer hunting camp up at the cabin with his sons and grandchildren each year brought him great joy. He was able to enjoy this family bond right up until last year. Andy's greatest joy in life was laughter. "Pa" was a kind, generous, and gentle man with twinkling blue eyes and a big laugh. A knowledgeable and hard worker, he could fix anything. He proudly loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, making each one feel like they were "The Favorite".  His love for his family would also bring many surprises, and at one family reunion gathering, surprised each one of his children with a brand new John Deere Gator. A gift which would bring many happy memories to each of them for many years to come.

Andrew is survived by his 8 children and their spouses, 26 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren: Jim (Barb) Holschbach of Whitelaw, and their children: Aaron (Rachel), Angela (Troy) Michels, Sarah (Russ) Kohel; Gary (Debbie) Holschbach of Whitelaw, and their children: Eric (Kristy), Jenni (Chris) Callen; Donna (Tom) Eiles of Kellnersville, and their children: Lisa (Jason) Podgorski, Jeff (Sarah), Steven (Sean); Steve "Bugsy" (Sue) Holschbach of Francis Creek, and their children: Shanna (Roger) Allen, Karissa (Brent) Beck, Megan (Josh) Ellestad, Luke (Valyssa); Roger (Sheri) Holschbach of Blaine, MN, and their children: Katie (DJ) Billingsley, Kelsey (Tom) Ahern, Ben, and Brian; Andy (Theresa) Holschbach of Plymouth, and their children: Samantha (Dan) Scheiman, Matthew (Brittany), and Kristin; Mary (Mike) Lambert of Manitowoc, and their children: Stephanie, Jessica (Jordan) Erdmann, Tomerot, and Chombi; Lori (Curt) Kowaleski of LeSueur, MN, and their children: Cassandra, Zachary, Allyson (Matt) Terrance. He is further survived by his brother, Norbert (Norma) Holschbach; sisters: Marian Zeman, Joan Krueger, Elaine Juedes, and Pat Becker; sisters-in-law: Mary Holschbach, Helen Crocker, Merle Kleiber, Monica (Gene) Ahrens; one brother-in-law, Benedict (Patti) Kleiber; along with MANY nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Mary Holschbach; his wife, Marion; and siblings: Beatrice Drida, Elizabeth Korinek, Marcella Duellman, Carole Kleiber, and Ronald Holschbach.
