Arlene Nehring

Arlene L. Nehring, age 97 of Manitowoc, passed away Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Arlene was born in the town of Gibson on August 29, 1925 to John and Blanche (Graycarek) Lodl. She attended a country school in Larrabee and graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1944. On November 12, 1949 she married Howard Nehring at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1964.

Arlene worked as a receptionist at Park Medical Center in Manitowoc for 25 years until her retirement. She loved her cats; and enjoyed the time spent golfing with family members.

Survivors include one brother & sister-in-law, Lester and Joan Lodl of Two Rivers; along with many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; and by two brothers and two sisters: Danny (Joyce) Lodl, John (Betty) Lodl, Florence (Bob) Scheuer, and Grace (Bernard) Domenoski.

Private funeral services were held for Arlene on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels. Deacon Paul Gleichner presided at the service, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
