Arnold F. Dewey

Arnold F. Dewey, age 87, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, died Monday morning, June 13, 2022, at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, with his family at his side.
Arnold was born on August 22, 1934, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Albert and Rose (Klein) Dewey. Arnie attended Washington High School in Two Rivers and served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard for six years. On November 6, 1954, he married Jean Klopfer at First German Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, she preceded him in death on August 2, 2014. Arnie was employed for 43 years as a welder at Formrite Tube Co. in Two Rivers. He enjoyed welding and woodworking, going fishing and was always willing to help his neighbors.
Survivors include his son: Doug Dewey and special friend, Anne Ray, Two Rivers; daughter and son-in-law: Barb and Chuck Mixa, Manitowoc; grandchildren: Craig Dewey and Desiree (Karl) Razell; great granddaughter: Kyra; and dog: Annie; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his siblings: Roland, Art, Elsie, Rosetta and Angie; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Richard C. and Murilla Klopfer; and in-laws: Shirley Klopfer, Evelyn (Edward) Wagner and Rick (LouAnn) Klopfer and special companion: Buddy.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3234 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Hintz with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military honors will be accorded at Forest View Cemetery by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, on Sunday evening, June 19, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. and also on Monday morning, June 20, 2022, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
