Barbara Ann Urbanek, age 87, lifetime resident of Two Rivers, quietly passed away under hospice care, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Matthew's of Neenah Memory Care.
Barbara was born in Two Rivers on November 21, 1935 to Edgar and Hazel (Vieau) Wolfe. She attended St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. Barbara married her high school sweetheart, James Urbanek, on July 9th, 1955 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. For the rest of her life, she worked at being the Best Mother in the world. She also worked at Hamilton's for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed camping with her husband, family, and friends. Her husband, Jim preceded her in death January 14th, 2017.
Barbara always lit up when she was with her family. She remained very active for many years at her church, Holy Redeemer & St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and enjoyed singing with the church choirs.
Barbara is survived by her seven children: Gregory (Joann) Urbanek, Jill Gauger, Tammie (Dan) Kellner, Brad (Dana) Urbanek, Julie (Andy) Bellile, Jon (Sara) Urbanek, and Christopher (Michelle) Urbanek; her grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, and Taylor; David, Craig, and Courtney; Dylan, Jordan, and Jacob; Quinn and Lily; Bryce and Brady; and her great-grandchildren: Ethan and Evan; Teagen and Tenleigh; Violet and Iris; Cora and Isabella. She is further survived by her brothers: William Wolfe, Richard (Kathy) Wolfe, and Robert Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Hazel Wolfe; husband, James; one infant son, Joseph; one grandson, Brian; and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Monday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
