Carol M. Mitchell

Carol M. Mitchell, age 91, current resident of Northland Lodge Assisted Living in Two Rivers, formerly of Tisch Mills, died on Monday, October 28, 2024.

Carol was born in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, on November 11, 1932 to Louis and Caroline (Valenta) Staral. She graduated from high school, then furthered her education at a local teachers college. Carol worked as an elementary school teacher for many years.

Carol was married to Joseph Fabian who preceded her in death in 1976. She later married Ronald Mitchell, June 16th, 1989 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. He also preceded her in death May 27, 2024.

She is survived by her children: Denise Fabian of Manitowoc, Patrick (Barbara) Fabian of Arizona, Geralyn Aschenbrenner of Green Bay, Kevin (Beth) Fabian of Plymouth; a son-in-law, Oscar Cisneros; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters: Jeanette Fabian, LaVerne (Merlin) Melnarik, Mary Ann (Ken) Schuh; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Fabian; son-in-law, Dennis Aschenbrenner; and a brother-in-law, Don Fabian.

Carol had a love for gardening and found peace in caring for her plants. She also adored spending time with her grandchildren, who loved being with her just as much. Carol took great joy in caring for them, creating many special memories together. She was also an avid traveler, with favorite trips to places like the Czech Republic, Nova Scotia, Rome, and Italy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dennis Drury, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tisch Mills.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish Saturday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
