Carol A. Pietroske

Carol A. Pietroske, age 80, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Aurora Medical Center with her family at her side.

Carol was born in Two Rivers on August 18, 1944 to Alfred and Jeanette (Conter) Grimm. She attended St. Luke's Catholic School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1962. On May 29, 1965 she married John P. Pietroske at St. Luke's Catholic Church. The couple was blessed with two children and shared 51 years of marriage. John preceded her in death on June 1, 2016. In addition to raising her children, Carol also worked for several years at Hamilton Industries.

Carol volunteered at Holy Redeemer/St. Peter the Fisherman Parish through various prayer groups and committees, and was involved with her children's 4-H club. She was a huge animal lover, especially loving her cat, Kalli; and enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening, and her beautiful flower gardens. Carol's kindness & willingness to take the time to listen to others made her a special friend to many.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Steven and Joanne Pietroske of Greenfield; daughter & son-in-law, Julie and Tim Mulroy of Menasha; four grandchildren: Andrew, Jeffrey (Laura), Carter, and Alex. She is further survived by one sister & brother-in-law, Betty and Joe Hoffman of Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Pat Pietroske of Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives, special neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Jeanette Grimm; husband, John P. Pietroske; one nephew, Adam Hoffman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Margaret Pietroske; and a brother-in-law, Donald Pietroske.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the memorial mass, with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

The funeral service will be live streamed on the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church website or St. Peter the Fisherman Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society of Manitowoc.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Two Rivers Fire Department EMS team, the entire medical staff  at the Aurora Medical Center, especially the ER and step-down unit for the compassionate care given to Carol. Special thanks also to the caregivers of Aurora Hospice for their kindness and support; and also to Carol's wonderful neighbors for the love and friendship extended. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
