Cathy Lambries, age 70, of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly on March 7, 2023, while on vacation in Mexico.
Cathy was born on February 25, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of John & Norine Morrell. She graduated from John Marshall High School, received a BS degree from UW-SP and graduate degree from Aurora University.
Education was her passion: Cathy was first a teacher at Reedsville HS, then spent 25 yrs. at Two Rivers HS where she was instrumental in FBLA club. She then taught at Lakeshore Technical College until 2022.
She loved to travel all over the world and visited all seven continents. She volunteered with the TR Lioness Club including: pancake breakfast, Co. Fair, Applefest, and the Washington House to name a few. She enjoyed volunteering in the third-grade classroom at Magee Elementary School.
Survivors include her sisters: Christine (John) Brannigan and Maureen (Keith) Miller; brother: Raymond (Barb) Morrell; her sons: Andrew and Ben Lambries; nieces and nephews: Josh (Kellie) Morrell, Eric Morrell, Jack Brannigan, Steven Miller and Brian Miller; along with other relatives and many friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents: John W. and Norine Morrell and her sister: Patricia Morrell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Grace Congregational UCC, 2801 Garfield St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dr. Colie Bettivia, assisted by Mark Schmitt.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
