Charlotte A. Guile

July 30, 1940 — October 9, 2023

Charlotte A. Guile, age 83 of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Monday evening, October 9, 2023 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Charlotte was born in Manitowoc on July 30, 1940 to Chester and Bertha (Jagodinsky) Novak. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1958. On April 22, 1961 she married William H. Guile and moved to Two Rivers. She was employed at Manitowoc Custom Molding, Inc. for 19 years, and later worked part-time as an office assistant at the Two Rivers Parks & Recreation Department. As a way of giving back, Charlotte also volunteered for a Hospice organization for 5 years after her son Jeff passed away from cancer at the age of 33.

Charlotte was a lover of animals, and was an active member of the Manitowoc County Kennel Club for many years. She taught canine obedience classes, and especially liked teaching the puppy obedience classes for MCKC; she also enjoyed taking trips out West, gardening, and reading. Charlotte loved holidays with her family. She was especially proud of her four grandchildren and loved taking part in their activities and treasured the time spent with them.

She is survived by her partner in life, Bill Guile; her daughter & son-in-law, Lisa and Rodney Green; daughter-in-law, Laurie (Gary) Bolle; her grandchildren: Brandon (Amanda) Guile, Brittney Guile (fiance, Travis Kuether), Nicholas Green, Austin (Megan) Green; along with two great-grandchildren, Madeline Guile and Lainey Green.

She is further survived by two sisters: Jean Simon and Carol Tetzlaff; one brother, Allan Novak; and a sister-in-law, Sandi Novak; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Bertha Novak; two sons, Jeffrey and Michael Guile; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Jane and Clarence (Shorty) Guile; one sister, Joyce Novak; and two brothers-in-law, Dan Simon, and David (Barbara) Guile.

A memorial mass will be held for Charlotte at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the service, with burial in Calvary Cemetery of Manitowoc at a later date.

The family will greet friends and relatives at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Wednesday, October 18th from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
