Clarice L. (Kuether) Schaden, age 86, longtime resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Sunday night, December 24, 2023 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Clarice was born in Manitowoc on May 22, 1937 to Clarence and Lorraine Ashenbrenner Rathsack. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1955. On April 30, 1960, she married Donald Kuether in Manitowoc. The couple had four children before Donald preceded her in death, May 15th, 1968. She later married Sheldon Schaden, who also preceded her in death.
Over the years, Clarice worked at Mirro Aluminum, Fieldcrest Manor, and as a housekeeper for various families in the Lakeshore area. Her housekeeping duties concluded at the Burger Boat Company where the highlight of her employment was being part of the final cleaning of Scottie Pippen's yacht in preparation of it's departure. Clarice enjoyed gardening, reading, bowling, and her flower gardens; but especially loved the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her four children: Theresa (Mark) Laurin, Michael (Cheryl) Kuether, Greg (Leah) Kuether, and Lynne (Michael) Laack, all of Two Rivers; Shelly's son, Michael (Sandy) Schaden & family; her eight grandchildren: Matthew (Lisa) Laurin, Adam (Beth) Laurin, Travis Kuether (fiance, Brittney), Scott (Brooke) Kuether, Karissa Kuether (fiance, Matt), Brianna (Joel) Griffith, Hailey Laack, Olivia Laack; and her great-grandchildren: Cyan, Elyria, Parker, Ava, Drew, Trey, Addison, Tyler, Payton, Ashton, Aiyanna, and Tatum (arriving soon). She is further survived by three sisters: Karen (Gerald) Herman, Manitowoc, Mary (Wynn) Jansky, Long Lake, WI, Patricia Malley, Sturgeon Bay; one brother, John (Sheryl) Rathsack, Appleton; and several nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald; second husband, Sheldon; and by numerous brothers, sisters, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapel, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the service, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Saturday morning from 8:00 until 10:00 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
