Dale G. Vanlaarhoven

Dale G. VanLaarhoven, age 87, of Two Rivers, died Saturday evening, December 10, 2022, with his family at his side, at home.
Dale was born on February 19, 1935, in Two Rivers, son of the late George and Phyllis (Messman) VanLaarhoven. He graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School with the Class of 1953. Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict Era. On February 15, 1958, he married Jacqueline Earley at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Dale was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years, retiring in 1992.
Survivors include his wife: Jacqueline; his children: Calle and Allen Graykowski of Manitowoc, Carrie and William Miller of Two Rivers, Peter and Wendy VanLaarhoven of Manitowoc and Paul and Jean VanLaarhoven of Ledgeview; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister: Judy (Arky) Engelbert ; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ardis (Joseph Sr.) Romdenne and Marilyn (Conrad) Stephens; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Frank and Viola Earley; brother-in-law: Calvin Earley; sister-in-law: Sandra (James) Hodek and four nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military honors will be accorded immediately following the service at the church by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
