David A. Konitzer, Jr.

April 10, 1984 — June 16, 2021

David A. Konitzer, Jr., age 37, of Two Rivers, died Wednesday June 16, 2021 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison.

David was born in Clearwater, Florida on April 10, 1984 to Linda L. (Stienstraw) Konitzer and the late David A. Konitzer, Sr. He started working at the age of 13, setting pins for the miniature bowling leagues at the Sport Bar. He always dreamed of becoming a doctor, and after graduating from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 2003, went on to earn his CNA degree which got him jobs at the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers and the Rainbow House in Manitowoc.

David lived a very difficult life, spending much time in and out of hospitals, but seldom complained. He battled two kidney transplants and remained on dialysis for 13 years. He and his brother, Chris finally got to take their dream trip to Florida. Four months later, he suffered a stroke, causing short term memory loss. Linda & Dave always called him their miracle child. David loved netflix, video games, playing card games, and watching the Brewers play. Having been born in Florida, he loved his Tampa Bay Rays. David was the kindest and most upbeat kid, despite all of his challenges. He always loved talking with his aunt Terry about every movie that came out.

Survivors include his mom, Linda Konitzer; one brother, Christopher; aunts: Susan McKenna, Debbie Riley, Linda Justema, Marylee Konitzer, Joan Konitzer, and Phyllis Konitzer; uncles: Jim Konitzer, Gene Konitzer, Andrew Konitzer, Jr., Dick Konitzer, Mike Konitzer, James Stienstraw, Jr., Mike Stienstraw, Sr., Daniel Kleckner, and Larry Brisco; along with many cousins to numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by aunts: Mary Brisco and Debbie Kleckner; uncles: Steve Konitzer and Dan McKenna; and last but not least, his father, David Konitzer, Sr.
