David L. Tice, Sr.

June 14, 1934 — October 17, 2022

David L. Tice, Sr., age 88 of Two Rivers, died early Monday evening, October 17, 2022 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, surrounded by his loving family.

David was born in 1934 in Winegar, Vilas County, Wisconsin to Milton and Margaret (Girsch) Tice. He attended Winegar State Grade Schools, in Winegar, Wisconsin and graduated from Marenisco High School in Marenisco, Michigan with the class of 1953. After graduation, David moved to Crown Point, Indiana where he drove truck. In 1956, David moved to Two Rivers and began work at Hamilton Manufacturing Company. Although Hamiltons changed owners and names several times, David remained at the company until his retirement in 1997. On February 15, 1958, he married the former Roberta Wilson at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Roberta preceded him in death on October 13, 2015.

David was very active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He served the Order in many capacities, the pinnacle of his success coming when he became The Grand Worthy National President in 2013. He was very proud of his accomplishments with the Eagles Organization and the many friends he made along the way.

Survivors include his two sons: Neil (Dawn) Tice of Two Rivers and their children, Andrew (Christina), Alex, Joshua (Morgan), and Jacquelyn; David Tice, Jr. (Margie) of Manitowoc, and children: Kelly (Shane), Krystal, Taylor, and David III; his daughter, Jean LeClair of Two Rivers, and her children: Brandon (Laura), Brooke (Josh), and Brad (Amber); great-grandchildren include: Carter, Amelia, Greyson, Ryleigh, Sterling, Shelby, Jayden, Peyton, Ava, Charlotte, Blake, Zoey, and A.J. David is further survived by one brother, Mike (Jeannette) Tice of Michigan; one special friend, John Henrickson of Two Rivers; and brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Lana Wilson, Sharen Wilson, Joseph (Audrey) Wilson, Jr., Ron Wilson, Dale Pekarek, Mary Lou Wilson, Nancy Tice, and Gladys Tice; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Margaret Tice; his wife, Roberta; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joseph and Agnes Wilson; two brothers, Eugene and Allen Tice; a sister, Carol (Leroy) Monson; and other in-laws: Norman Wilson, Richard Wilson, John (Sherry) Wilson, Joan (James) Taylor, Corrine Pekarek, Doris (Charles) Kaiser, Shirley (Rod) Doubek, Gerald Wilson, and Joyce Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will preside at the service, with burial to take place at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Friday afternoon from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m.
