Dean D. Hagenow, age 60, town of Kossuth resident, passed away early Thursday morning, March 24, 2022 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc, with his family by his side.
Dean was born in Two Rivers on July 8, 1961 to Donald and Darlene (Tetzlaff) Hagenow. He attended Mishicot Public Schools, and on April 30, 1982 was united in marriage to Sue Ann Mitcheltree in Manitowoc. Dean worked for many years with Highway Landscaping and most recently with Tisler Trucking until his illness forced his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and all hunting seasons especially deer hunting with bow & gun, and rabbit hunting. Dean was a member of the Kettle Range Snow Riders Club and former member of the Francis Creek Sportsman's Club. He also enjoyed his hobby farm, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; three daughters and one son: Jodi (Daniel) Miller of Two Rivers, Lori Hagenow (special friend, Josh Kinjerski) of Mishicot, Brittany (Josh) Wasurick of Kellnersville, James Hagenow (special friend, Yolanda Naber) of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Mark (Aliy) Miller, Diana Henrickson (special friend, Mike Delfosse), Andrea Henrickson, Alicia Kinjerski, Riley Kinjerski, Emily Zeman, Howie Zeman, Myron Wasurick, and Aiden Hagenow. He is further survived by a sister, Dawn (Robbie) Behrmann; one brother, Denny (Traci) Hagenow; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Handl and Mary Mitcheltree; one brother-in-law, Orvie (Pat) Mitcheltree; and special friends: Mark Zeman and Lenny Pribek; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Darlene Hagenow; one son, Dean Donald Hagenow, Jr.; his grandparents: Henry and Mildred Hagenow, Lester and Anita Tetzlaff; and one sister-in-law, Cindy Johnston.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Melnik Presbyterian Church. Officiant Lisa Novachek will preside at the service, with burial to follow in Melnik Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Melnik Presbyterian Church Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
