Delmore "Dilly" Blazer

April 27, 1937 — October 14, 2022

Delmore C. "Dilly" Blazer, age 85, rural Two Rivers resident, passed away Friday morning, October 14, 2022 at home in Two Rivers.

Delmore was born April 27, 1937 in his parents log home, in Suring, WI. He was the son of Clarence and Alice (Holmes) Blazer. Delmore served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis from 1959 to 1962, as a member of the U.S. Army. On June 9, 1962, he married the love of his life, Judy Martinson. The couple just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Dilly was employed with Kelvinator of Manitowoc for many years, and later worked for Universal Wire until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, thresheree, antique motorcycles and cars, but most of all enjoyed his dogs. Dilly was also a longtime member of the Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Club.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Blazer; one son, Duane (Lori) Blazer of Manitowoc, one brother, Fred (JoAnn) Blazer of Florida; his grandchildren: Dusty (Jessie) Blazer, Joshua (Amanda) Denor, Nicole (Daniel) Diedrich; and great-grandchildren: Elise Diedrich and Lily Denor. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Linda Sewell of Maplewood, WI, and Harriet (John) Paral of Sturgeon Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alice Blazer; two brothers, Charles and Henry Blazer; and one sister, Evlin Chaudior.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 28th, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street in Manitowoc. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. led by Rev. Austin Meier, with military honors to follow by members of VFW Post #1248 and American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers.
