Dolores A. Tolksdorf

Dolores Augusta (Schnese) Tolksdorf, age 94, a lifetime resident of Two Rivers, went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 14, 2025 where she was reunited with her loving husband Tony. 

She was born in Two Rivers on May 22, 1930 to LeRoy and Irene L. (Bohm) Schnese. She completed her grade school education at St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School in 1949. On June 16, 1951, she married Anton Tolksdorf and they were blessed with 73 years of marriage. Anton preceded her in death July 23, 2024. 

Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family. She worked at Metal Ware and later in life could be found working the counter at McDonald’s in Two Rivers. She was involved in many activities throughout her life. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Mark’s. She was a dedicated 4-H and Scouts leader for many years; and she loved to can and cook, and imparted that love to many others. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her children and grandchildren's activities. She was also a bowler, a golfer and an avid card and dominos player.

Survivors include her son, Andrew Tolksdorf and wife Paula; her daughter, Susan Tolksdorf; and her grandchildren: Jena Tolksdorf, and Kyle Tolksdorf and his wife, Jennifer. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Evelyn (Doucet) Tolksdorf; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Fessler; along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Dolores was preceded in death by her father and mother: LeRoy and Irene L. (Bohm) Schnese; her husband, Tony; her sister, Beverly (Schnese) Shambeau and her husband, Glenn; and by her father & mother-in-law, Adam and Agnes Tolksd0rf.There will be a celebration of Dolores’ life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Friday morning at the church. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
