Donald G. Marshall

August 12, 1946 — May 24, 2023

Donald G. Marshall, age 76, a resident of the Village of Mishicot, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, with his loving family at his side. Knowing that he is at home with God and his Savior, gives the family great comfort.
Don was born in Algoma on August 12, 1946, to George and Dorothy (Ullman) Marshall. He graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1964. When he turned 18, he moved to Two Rivers and worked at Mirro until its closing. He then attended LTC, and then worked at Koenig & Vits and Skana until his retirement in 2012. Don served in the US Army for two years being stationed in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967.
Don married Patrica A. Behrend on June 22, 1968, in Coleman, Wis. They were married almost 55 years, having 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The couple enjoyed traveling and seeing all the great National Parks in this beautiful country. Don grew up on the farm and was a farmer at heart. He loved working in his garden and was a born mechanic. He liked working on cars and taught his sons and grandsons a lot about mechanics. Always helped friends when they needed help and fixed a lot of cars. He was very good at making useful equipment out of old farm machinery. Never had to hire a plumber or electrician, he could do it all. He was also handy at making things out of wood, designing and creating a lot of projects for his family and in-laws.
Don and Pat loved and had many parties, they invited the same friends over for 30 years of Super Bowl Parties.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Marshall; two sons: Jim Marshall and Bill (Kathy) Marshall of Mishicot; one daughter: Sue Marshall (special friend, Bob Meyer, Two Rivers; five grandchildren:  Katrina (Cal) McFarlin; Zach Taylor and Josh Taylor, Logan Marshall, Karlie (Austin) Young; and two great grandchildren: Colt and Nova Young. He is further survived by his brothers: Gerald Marshall and Ken (Elaine) Marshall; three sisters-in-law: Bonnie Hughes, Barbara (Chuck) Hoffman and Lori (Dale) Eisner; and one brother-in-law: Larry (Lisa) Behrend; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Dorothy Marshall; his mother-in-law and fathers-in-law: Marion Behrend Sterzing, Charles Behrend and Fred Sterzing; sister-in-law: Shelby Marshall; sisters and brothers-in-law: Joanne and Tom Karunn, Diane Behrend, Jack Hughes and son-in-law: Dan Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of VFW Post #7753 of Mishicot.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John’s Ev. Luth. Church on Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023,  from 4 to 7 p.m. and also on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
