Donna M. Avery

Donna M. Avery, age 65, town of Mishicot resident, died peacefully with family at her side early Friday morning, April 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born in Escanaba, Michigan on July 29, 1956 to Harold and Lucille (Deiter) Schroeder. She was a graduate of Escanaba High School. Over the years, Donna was employed with Kwik Trip in Two Rivers, Mobil 310 Mart, and Fisher Hamilton until retiring. Donna had many hobbies which included restoring old furniture and other items, gardening, cooking and canning. She also enjoyed camping.

She is survived by her significant other, Kenny Ruelle; one son, Chris Avery (S.O. Leah Harteau), and one granddaughter, Lyla Avery. She is further survived by a sister, Mary (David, Sr.) Herbst, three step-daughters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by one son, Corey Avery; and two sisters: Helen Collegnon and Joan McIntyre.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot. Rev. Christian Raj will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
