Donna M. Scheuer

Donna M. Scheuer, age 91, longtime town of Mishicot resident, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Donna was born July 13, 1932 in the town of Kossuth to James and Agnes (Wanek) Kunz. She was a graduate of Mishicot High School. On June 19, 1954, she married George J. Scheuer at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The couple operated a dairy farm in the town of Mishicot for many years. George preceded her in death July 10, 2009.

Donna was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot where she also sang in the church choir for many years; she was also a longtime member of the Mishicot Homemakers.

Donna is survived by one sister-in-law, Anita Wiza of Two Rivers; goddaughter, Julie Koenig of Manitowoc; godson, Jack Havlovitz of Mishicot; one niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes Kunz; husband, George Scheuer; one infant son; one brother, Verlyn Kunz; one nephew, David Koenig; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Theresa and William Scheuer; and two brothers-in-law: Vincent (Monica) Scheuer, and James Scheuer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Christian Raj, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

Friends may call at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
