Edith J. Clark

Edith J. Clark, age 92, longtime Town of Mishicot resident, died Saturday afternoon, September 30, 2023 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.

Edith was born in Egg Harbor, WI on May 30, 1931 to Clarence and Laura (DeMarb) Vanidestine and attended school in Peshtigo. On September 5, 1947, she married Harry E. Clark in Peshtigo. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2018.

Edith worked for a number of years at Paragon Electric in Two Rivers, and later for Hamilton Industries until her retirement. She was a member of the Vintage Lakeshore Two Cylinder Club and former member of the Rustic Iron of Manitowoc. Edith enjoyed bowling, gardening, crocheting, her flowers, and playing Dominoes. She was also a longtime member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her five children: Harry Clark, Jr. of Michigan, Janet Clark (special friend, Russell Grant) of Oshkosh, Allen Clark (special friend, Joyce Hayden) of Tennessee, Shirley Vigue of Tisch Mills, and Glen (Tory) Clark of Mishicot; one son-in-law, Bob Litersky of Mishicot; and very special friends: Butch Rusch; and Carol Graupner. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; along with two sisters-in-law, Betty and Lois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Laura Vanidestine; husband, Harry Clark, Sr.; one daughter, Sue Litersky; son-in-law, Victor Vigue; one sister, Helen Lange; brothers: Gordy, Jim and Bill Vanidestine; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Edna and Henry Reines; and sisters-in-law, Joyce and June.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Ave., Manitowoc. Pastor Cherie Forret will preside at the service, with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
