Elaine E. Plansky, age 95, of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, May 21, 2022, surrounded by her family, at Froedtert - Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Elaine was born on March 11, 1927, in Two Creeks, a daughter of the late Louis and Barbara (Dworak) Stangel. She attended Lakeview School in Two Creeks and Washington High School in Two Rivers. On February 19, 1949, she married George (Bud) E. Plansky at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2014. Elaine worked at Mirro Aluminum Co. and Paragon Electric Co. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman, VFW Auxiliary of Mishicot and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul. Elaine enjoyed baking (which she shared with many), knitting (if you were lucky, you got a pair of booties), playing cards and was an avid Brewers fan. She also enjoyed sitting in her chair watching the birds.
Survivors include her children: Ed and Ann Plansky, Mary Plansky, Dale and Mary Plansky, Leo and Dori Plansky, Leon Plansky and Diane Thelen, JoAnn Wagner, Mary and Jeff Cisler, all of Two Rivers; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons: Baby Clarence, Kenny Plansky and Clarence Plansky; one daughter: Barbara Staab; one grandson, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter, son-in-law: Tim Wagner; brothers: Leonard (Mildred), Norbert (Marion) and Melvin (Donna) Stangel; and her in-laws.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. , Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
