Esther T. Litel

Esther T. Litel, age 89, of 2415 W River St., Two Rivers, died Friday morning, February 25, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Esther was born on April 27, 1932, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Steve and Frances (Strzelecki) Wiza. She attended Two Rivers Public Schools graduating from Washington High School. On October 11, 1952, she married George D. Litel, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2015. Esther was employed at Mirro, Schroeder’s Dept. Store and the Royal Uniform Store. She enjoyed watching TV, reading, shopping excursions and attended Mass whenever she was able.
Survivors include her grandson and his wife: Craig and Sarah Litel of Two Rivers; four great grandchildren: Devon, Cameron, Isaiah and Jordan; daughter-in-law: Sharon Litel; and a sister-in-law: Anita Wiza. She is further survived by nephews and nieces: Jerry Wiza, Bill (Linda) Fronk, Todd (Kathy) Kienbaum, Kay (Jon) Forseth and Jenny Kintopf and her sons, Andy and Nicholas; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son: Kriss S. Litel, on September 27, 2012; a brother: Lorian Wiza; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Frank and Clara Litel; sisters-in-law: Adeline (Clarence) Domnitz, Beatrice (Stanley) Fronk and Doris (Walter) Kienbaum.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Deacon John Vincent with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
