Eugene J. Troullier, age 80, lifelong Town of Gibson resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023 following an accident at his residence.
Eugene was born in the town of Gibson on February 26, 1943 to George and Lillian (Hronek) Troullier, and was a graduate of Mishicot High School. He married the former Nancy Hassemer who preceded him in death on September 17, 2018. Eugene worked for Hamilton Mfg. of Two Rivers for over 35 years, and also worked with his Dad on the family Mink Ranch, eventually taking it over until retiring.
Eugene enjoyed stock car races, especially at 141 race track. He loved watching his niece's husband, Steve Kudick race, and later enjoyed watching her son, Kyle Kudick; as well as his grandson, Brian, who also raced. He enjoyed collecting old cars and was especially proud of his Model-A which he restored. He also enjoyed going out to lunch with his friends, and was especially happy to enjoy time with family.
He is survived by one daughter & son-in-law, Marsha and Jim Guex of the town of Gibson; one grandson, Brian (Shanna) Guex; and his great-grandchildren: Angel, Rachel, and Aurora. He is further survived by two sisters & brothers-in-law: Charlene and Kenneth Fahs, Nancy and Steven Bostedt, all of Green Bay; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Troullier; his wife, Nancy; one brother & sister-in-law, Lloyd (Diane) Troullier; and one infant sister, Shirley.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot. Deacon Mike Valenta will preside at the service, with burial to take place Monday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Friday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.
