Evelyn M. "Evie" Stetson, town of Maple Grove resident, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2022 at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.
Evelyn was born in Glenmore on April 14, 1933 to Stanley and Edna (Terrien) Grusznski. She could often be found doing the things she loved: gardening, yard work and cooking. Evie will be fondly remembered for her wonderful meals that she prepared for friends and family.
Survivors include her significant other, Francis Cavanaugh, Reedsville; her son, Bruce (Lynn) Stetson of Menchalville, and their family: Jackson, Amelia, and Katie Stetson. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Austin (Beth) Stetson of Manitowoc, and Miranda Stetson of Cumming, GA, and their sister Trista Carrillo and family; and their mother Dorothy (Pat) Fitzgerald of Manitowoc. Her great-grandchildren include Caleb, Chase, Blake, Matt and Taylor.
Evie is also survived by sisters: Agnes Benz and Kathleen Dworak; sisters-in-law: Mary Grusznski and Marie Grusznski; brothers-in-law: Jerome Watzka and Leo Heim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Edna Grusznski; one son, Michael Stetson; her brothers: Robert, Joe, Al, Ray, Clarence and Patrick Grusznski; two sisters: Arlene Heim and Mary Watzka; sisters in-law: Rita, Elsie, and Marcella Grusznski; brother-in-law, Bernard Dworak; and an infant great-grandson, Ethan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the memorial mass, with burial of her cremated remains to follow in the parish cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
