Geraldine "Gerry" Eckert

Geraldine M. "Gerry" Eckert, age 78, current resident of Northland Lodge in Two Rivers, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away peacefully Monday evening, August 5, 2024 at the Northland Lodge in Two Rivers.

Gerry was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 3, 1946 to Anthony J. and Rosalind F. (Tullis) DiFatta. After graduating from high school, she furthered her education at an Illinois College where she earned her teachers degree. After teaching at a Catholic School in Chicago for a short time, Gerry worked with the Developmentally Disabled, and as a RRC (Recreational Relief Counselor), all in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She also volunteered at the Dorchester Nursing Home in Sturgeon Bay and remained active at her church, Family Worship Center. Gerry was a very generous person who loved her Lord, her family, and animals (her cats and dogs).

She is survived by her two sons: Steven Page (fiance, Killy Tackett) of Mishicot, and Eric Page (fiance, Lori Bauer) of Valders; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Celeste, Bailey (fiance, Ryan), Arthur, and Abby; along with a great-grandchild. She is also survived by one stepdaughter, Anne (Jay) Matthews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina (Page) Hocevar in 2016; her husband, Walter "Wally" Eckert; and her parents.

Gerry will be laid to rest next to her daughter Gina at a later date. There will be no formal funeral service held.
