Two Rivers

Geraldine A. "Gerri" Giesler, age 81, resident of the Town of Two Rivers, died early Thursday morning, April 17, 2025 at her residence.

Gerri was born in Milwaukee on August 9, 1943 to Louis and Ruth (Lacount) Lapacz. She graduated from Green Bay East High School with the class of 1961. On May 30, 1964 she married Frederick J. "Whitey" Giesler at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. Whitey preceded her on March 7, 2022. Gerri worked at Northern Paper Mill Marathon Division until the couple welcomed their first child, and after the birth of her second child the family moved from Howard to Two Rivers. She eventually went back to work as administrative assistant first at Suettinger Sheet Metal, then Smokey Barbier Heating, and retiring from Aurora Two Rivers Clinic.

Gerri will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren: daughter & son-in-law, Amy (Steve) Franz of Manitowoc and their children: Vaughn and Wyatt; son & daughter-in-law, Fritz (Chris) Giesler of Two Rivers and their children: Fred (Lindsey) Krause; Trevor (Tiffanie) Giesler and their children Braxton, Ashton, and Coleson; and her favorite person on the planet and cherished granddaughter and son-in-law, Mariah (Micheal) Walker, and their daughters: Melanie, Adalynn, and Arabella Walker. Further survived by one sister, Donna McWilliams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ruth Lapacz; husband, Fred; one sister, Barbara Ray; and her father & mother-in-law, Frederick and Catherine Giesler.

Private funeral services were held at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels of Two Rivers, with burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Howard.

The Giesler family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Rose Loucks of RS Caring LLC, and her team of caregivers for the exceptional, and compassionate care given to Gerri. Without them we never could have kept mom at home.
