James (Jim) Gagnon

May 22, 1959 — February 21, 2022

James R. (Jim) Gagnon, age 62, rural Two Rivers resident, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 21, 2022 at his residence.

Jim was born in Two Rivers on May 22, 1959 to Carol M. (Zimmer) Gagnon and the late Robert J. Gagnon. He attended Two Rivers Public Schools, graduating from Washington High School. He was employed for many years as a welder with the Heiden Corp. of Manitowoc, and later worked for Steinie's Water Gardens & Irrigation of Two Rivers. Love of nature drew him to both hunting and fishing at a young age.  He was known to rescue a stray animal if it needed a home and became fond of feeding the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. His natural artistry allowed him to design and fabricate unique metal creations.  He was both creative and curious, enjoyed reading and learning, and was always willing to lend a helping hard.  He passed his love of nature on to his daughter and enjoyed sharing new experiences with her.  He was a friend to many and enjoyed meeting new people wherever he went.

Survivors include one daughter, Myckie Gagnon-LeBotte of Oklahoma; his mother, Carol Gagnon of Two Rivers; and three sisters: Ann (Joseph) Toonen of Appleton, Lisa Tiedt of Madison, and Lori (Shawn) Conley of Madison. He is further survived by his nieces & nephews: Mikayla and Alex Toonen, Maddi and Emerson Tiedt, Haila and Aliah Conley; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gagnon; three brothers: David, Ricky, and Tom Gagnon; brother-in-law, Randy Tiedt; and grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Erwin Zimmer and Mr. and Mrs. George Gagnon.
