James H. Sorensen

April 2, 1935 — February 9, 2024

James H. Sorensen, age 88, formerly of Green Bay, currently a resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Friday morning, February 9, 2024.

James was born in Green Bay on April 2, 1935 to Herbert and Violet M. (Doxtater) Sorensen. He grew up in Green Bay and was employed with Procter & Gamble Company for many years until his retirement. Jim married Margaret (Marge) Wachowski on September 7, 1974 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The couple enjoyed traveling together, especially taking many trips to Las Vegas. Marge preceded him in death on March 3, 2020. Jim also enjoyed shopping, and an occasional stop at the casino.

Survivors include his children: Ann (Dennis) DeWitt, Marjean Wachowski, Jerry (Jodie) Wachowski, Mark (Barb) Wachowski, and Scott (Kim) Wachowski; his grandchildren: Dennis (Alina) DeWitt, Jr., Amanda DeWitt (fiance, Billy Schultz), Sara (Scott) Krueger, Amy (Keith) VanRooy, Jenny (John) Dietrich, Lindsay (Tony) Wiesner, Nic Wachowski (special friend, Sarina), Michelle Wachowski (fiance, Brian Cherney), Kurt (Jolene) Scherer, Gabriel Wachowski, Cory (Sarah) Wachowski, Adam (Nicole) Wachowski, Amber Wachowski, Calli (Shawn) Shillcox, Caitlin (Riley) Garbe, and Allie Wachowski (special friend, Keegan); along with many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Violet Sorensen; his wife, Marge Sorensen; granddaughter, Dawn Holschbach; and a brother-in-law, Raymond "Raymie" Jacquette.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the service, with burial in Holy Apostle Church Cemetery, Oneida.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
