Jane C. Holmes

Jane C. Holmes, age 79, town of Mishicot resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Jane was born in Manitowoc on June 18, 1944 to Victor and Rose (Decker) Skarvan and has been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1962. She was employed as a machine operator for many years with the Carron Net Company in Two Rivers until her retirement. On October 3, 1981, she married Ken Holmes in Manitowoc.

Jane enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, traveling up North to Land O' Lakes, occasional trips to the casinos, spending time with her dogs, and talking with her friends on the phone.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ken; one son, Jeff Flentje of Mishicot; and one brother & three sisters-in-law: Jim and Lynn (Sue) Skarvan of Two Rivers, Kay (Craig) Kowaleski of Green Bay, and Kim Holmes (significant other, Jim Clausen) of Shiocton. She is further survived by one brother-in-law, Keith Holmes (fiance, Chris Hochman) of Reedsville; her beloved dog, Abby; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Rose Skarvan; two brothers: Harlan (Shigeko) Skarvan, Robert (Lorraine) Skarvan; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, William and Beverly Holmes.

Private family services were held on Saturday, May 18th at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Rev. Christian Raj presided at the memorial service.
