Jean F. Krueger, age 90, longtime Manitowoc resident, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Jean was born in Iola, WI on January 21, 1934 to Llewellyn and Pearle (Buttolph) Stevens. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1952. On June 13, 1953, she married Eugene "Peto" Krueger at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with three children and 59 years of marriage. Eugene preceded her in death on June 17, 2012.
Jean retired from Paragon Electric where she was employed for over 20 years. Jean and Peto enjoyed Curling and were members of the Lakeshore Curling Club for over 26 years. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home - camping during the summer & wintering in Cocoa, FL for many seasons; she also enjoyed the time spent with her family.
Survivors include her three children: Kathy (Dan) Schuh, Kerry (Denise) Krueger, all of Manitowoc; Keith Krueger (Scott Frye) of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren: Christina (Josh) Sequin, Sandra (Jeff) DeVore, Melissa (Jon) Borgwardt, Roger Bushman, Cory (Kim) Krueger, Rachelle (Joe) Bessert; and her great-grandchildren: Alison, Andon, Bailey, Cameron, Drake, Ava, Bentley, Brylee, Cora, Gemma, Kelsie, Kendall, Colten, Emma, and Brody. She is further survived by one sister, June Wagner; one brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Bob Kafka, Carol Swoboda, Helen Krueger, Bonnie Stevens and Gloria Kronforst; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peto; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Helen Krueger; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Lew (Pat) Stevens, and Donald Stevens; and several in-laws: Anna Marie (Joe) Blanchette, Janet Kafka, Ronald Wagner, Don Swoboda, Ronald Krueger, and Mike Kronforst.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Jean's godson, Scott Stevens will preside at the service, with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
