Jill Shimulunas

Jill Shimulunas, age 72 of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 7, 2022 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Jill was born in Wausau on January 29, 1950 to Rodney and Virginia (Stuplich) Wendland. She was a graduate of D.C. Everest High School in Schofield. On August 13, 1970, she married George A. "Bucky" Shimulunas in Pine City, Minnesota. Jill was a longtime employee of Mirro Aluminum Company until it's closing; she also worked as a cleaner at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, and often watched over her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing dartball in her younger days, loved gardening, and cherished the time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, George "Bucky" Shimulunas; two sons & daughters-in-law, Cory and Paula Shimulunas of St. Joseph, Michigan, Chad and Kathy Shimulunas of Sheboygan; and five grandchildren: Mac, Cade, and Gabby Shimulunas, Kacie (Lucas) DeWitt, and Kelcie Shimulunas. She is further survived by one sister & brother-in-law, Barb (Fran) Housey of Sheboygan; nieces & nephews: Amanda Housey, Kelly Komoroski, Trevor Shimulunas (special friend, Marissa), and Tyler (Katie) Shimulunas; and brother & sisters-in-law: Karl (Debbie) Shimulunas of Indiana, Bonnie Shimulunas of Two Rivers, and Kay Shimulunas of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Orin Stachovak; one son, Christopher; one sister, Jackie Komoroski; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, George and Marion Shimulunas.
