Joan M. (Nee Bergene) Kokesch Miller

Joan, age 82, passed away February 02, 2023, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 10, 1941, in Manitowoc to Norman and Elizabeth (Andres) Bergene. She married James Kokesch on April 25, 1959. He preceded her in death November 4, 2013. She married Delue Miller on January 10, 2020. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2021.
She is survived by three children: Julie Rocque, and the father of her children, Dan Rocque, Two Rivers, Dale Kokesch, St. Germaine, and Henry and Carla Kokesch, Two Rivers; five grandchildren: Rachael and Jeff Balthazor, Ashwaubenon, Matt and Jeni Rocque, Two Rivers, Elizabeth and Robert Strandt, Port Washington, Chris Kokesch, Two Rivers, Jacob Kokesch and significant other, Elizabeth, Two Rivers; three great grandchildren: Carter Balthazor, Tayler Kokesch, and Zoie Kokesch, and two step great grandchildren: Gannon Strandt and Ryder Bertelsen.
Also surviving are sisters: Janice Leschke, daughter, Kari, Nanc and Jim Kunish, Kate and Wayne Dehne, son, Kevin, and one brother: David and Cheryl Bergene, daughters, Jennifer and Lisa; brothers-in-law: Harold Kokesch and Robert Kokesch, and sister-in-law: Anna Kral and many nieces, nephews, and their extended families, and Delue’s extended families.
Preceded in death by her parents: Norman and Elizabeth, her first husband of 54 years, James Kokesch, her second husband, Delue Miller; brothers-in-law: Edward Kokesch, Leo Kral, and sisters-in-law: Eva, Delores, Myrna Kokesch.
Cremation has occurred. There will be no formal funeral services per the family.
