John F. "Jack" Berry, Jr., age 93, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 25, 2025 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, with family at his side.
Jack was born in Wauwatosa, WI on December 14, 1931 to John and Elizabeth (McGarvie) Berry, Sr. and attended Milwaukee Schools. He served his country during the Korean War (1951-1952) as a member of the U.S. Army being honorably discharged in 1952. On January 23, 1965 he was united in marriage to Patricia Hill in Milwaukee. Patricia preceded him in death on November 20, 2012. Jack worked for ServiceMaster Inc. at the Two Rivers Community Hospital for many years as a facilities support services manager which included materials management, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance, retiring from ServiceMaster in 1994. He will be remembered as an exceptional craftsman who loved woodworking, could fix anything, and never sat still. He enjoyed feeding the fish in his backyard pond, golfing, walking, and was always very proud of his Irish heritage. Above all, he enjoyed the time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Cheryl (Nicholas) Boyajian of Vesper, WI, Gary Anderson (Flora) of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Mark Anderson of Two Rivers, and Patrick (Rachelle) Berry of Two Rivers; his grandchildren: Jesse Boyajian, Nicholas Boyajian, Natalie (Dan) Herman; Ryan, Cody, Kyle, and Tylor Anderson; Emma and Ian Berry; along with five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Jane. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia; and brothers & sisters: Bernice, Bob, Bernard, Patricia, and Betty Ann.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will preside at the service, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Military graveside honors will be held at the funeral home immediately following the service by members of American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels Thursday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.
