June C. Keller

June C. Keller, age 99, a resident of Wisteria Haus of Two Rivers, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday afternoon, June 20, 2021.

June was born June 1, 1922, in Nebraska, a daughter of the late Otto and Pauline (Kiichler) Schlangen. June was baptized in 1932 at Trinity Lutheran Church and was confirmed at Trinity on May 5, 1935. She attended school in Schuylar, Nebraska, graduating high school in 1940. She served in the U. S. Navy for 22 months during World War II. On November 15, 1945, she married Milton “Mickey” Keller in San Diego, Calif. They were married for 64 years when Mickey died on August 7, 2010. June was the manager of the Shop N Go Store in Two Rivers and was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her four children: Barbara (Jerel) Sehloff, Paul Keller, Carole (Steve) Schwobe, Joan (Steve) Waack; twelve grandchildren: Sue (Mark) Lindloff, Rebekah (Grant) Waege, Rachel (Jared) Ratkowski, Katherine (Mitchel) Kirchmeyer, Paul (Amy) Keller, Eric Keller, Penny (Bill) Arndt, Joshua Shimek, Zachary (Melanie) Shimek, Jacob (Ruby) Schwobe, Nathan (Jessie) Waack, Travis (Melissa) Waack; and fifteen great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister: Arlene Hulin and two brothers: Clarence and Earl Schlangen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2140 34th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Keith Tullberg with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Military honors will be accorded at the church immediately following the service by members of VFW Post No. 1248 and American Legion Post No. 165 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
