Karen A. Flegle, age 71, of Two Rivers, went home to her Savior on Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born in Two Rivers on March 2nd, 1950 to William and Mildred (Sneberk) Virnoche. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1968. On October 10, 1970, she was united in marriage to Allan H. Flegle at St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with three children throughout their 51 years of marriage. Karen was employed in the offices of Fisher-Hamilton Mfg. for many years, and later worked in collections and as branch manager with Shoreline Credit Union in Two Rivers. Away from work, Karen had many enjoyments which included camping, antiquing, gardening, and reading, as well as an occasional trip to the casino. She also enjoyed volunteering for the hot lunch program at St. John's Lutheran School; and had an unconditional love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
Karen was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Her faith was solid and strong throughout all the many health battles she fought alongside the love and caring attention from Allan. We know Karen is enjoying heaven, pain free, with her Lord.
Survivors include her husband, Allan; her children: Brenda (Randall) Novak of Two Rivers, Jeffrey (Shannon) Flegle of Hillsboro, Missouri, Lori (Brian) Miller of Two Rivers; and three grandchildren: Mason, Madyson, and Maelynn. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joy and Jerry Walters of Two Rivers, Bonnie Bonin of Burnsville, MN, Pat and Mary Flegle of Neenah; and her special feline friend, "Ayla". She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Virnoche; her infant sister, Katelyn; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Evelyn Flegle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Stephen Kruschel will officiate at the service, with cremation burial to take place at a later date.
