Keith A. Coenen

July 20, 1957 — December 25, 2022

Keith A. Coenen, age 65, lifetime town of Two Rivers resident, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his residence.

Keith was born in Two Rivers on July 20, 1957 to Elaine (Bratz) Coenen and the late Raymond J. Coenen. He attended Two Rivers schools, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1975. On January 29, 1982, he married Sarah L. Kozlowski in Manitowoc.

Keith worked as a painter for most of his working years, mainly employed with Musial Painting and Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc. He recently retired from Two Rivers Buses, Inc. Keith was a lifetime member of West Shore Sportsman Club where he served on the Board of Directors and remained very active with the club over the years. He will be remembered as "Mentor" and missed by many young trap shooter enthusiasts, especially the Clay Crushers, Youth Trap Team. He loved fishing and hunting, and especially enjoyed coon hunting. He raised and trained many Walkers Coon Hounds over the years. Keith also took great pride in his property which he purchased years ago, eventually planting over 3000 trees and watching them grow into beautiful forest land. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family; his wife, children, and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Coenen; daughter & son-in-law, Amanda (Ryan) Rohan of Black Creek; son & daughter-in-law, Andy (Ali) Coenen of Two Rivers; seven grandchildren: Kylee, Kortney, Kacey, Kolton, Korah, Zoe, and Jax; and his mother, Elaine Coenen of Two Rivers. He is further survived by four sisters & three brothers: Kay (Gary) Fencl, Richard (Dawn) Coenen, Randy Coenen, Diane (Rick) Witte, David (Lisa) Coenen, Aimee (Keith) Moseler, and Andrea Wichlacz (special friend, John), all of Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Steve (Debbie) Kozlowski, Chris (Melissa) Kozlowski, all of Two Rivers; and Paula (Brian) Schoeffel of Manitowoc; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his two special companions: Tessa and Josie. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Coenen; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law: Dale and Kathleen Kozlowski.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dr. Colie Bettivia will preside at the memorial service. Cremation has taken place.
