Kent Wiebensohn

Kent Ray Wiebensohn, age 69, longtime resident of Mishicot, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, July 18, 2023 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.

Kent was born in Anchorage, Alaska on December 6, 1953 to Raymond and Betty (Dreessen) Wiebensohn. He was a graduate of Mishicot High School. He was an active volunteer and long-time member of the Manitowoc County Small Animal Committee.

On July 12, 1975, he married Jennifer A. Tangen at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Kent jointly owned Sandy Bay Mink Ranch in Mishicot for decades. In his younger years, he was a league bowler and demonstrated sharp billiard skills. Throughout his retirement he enjoyed raising and showing English Spot rabbits, playing cards with his buddies, and spending time with his talented grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jenny Wiebensohn; four sons: Karl Wiebensohn (April Richmond) of Mishicot and April's son, Marcus; Scott Wiebensohn (Shannon Wallace) of Fort Collins, Colorado; Brett Wiebensohn of Mishicot; and Keith (Sara) Wiebensohn of Two Rivers, their children: Aiden, Lexi, and Liam, and grand-dogs: Lola & Cooper. He is further survived by his two sisters & two brothers: Laurie (Tom) Arkens, Lynne (Dave) Dirkmann, Kurt Wiebensohn (fiance, Linda Rockwell), and Brad (Tracy) Wiebensohn; one sister-in-law, Joy (Lee) Hillstrom of Neenah; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Betty Wiebensohn.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot.  Pastor Jesse Eells of Hope Community Church will preside at the service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Monday afternoon from 12 until 2:00 p.m.
