Leona L. Siebert

Leona L. Siebert, of Two Rivers, died Saturday night, June 11, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Leona was born on September 28, 1932, in Mishicot, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Sladky) Shedal. She attended Mishicot High School. On July 16, 1955, she married Gordon H. Siebert at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Gordon preceded her in death on July 14, 2003. Leona was employed at the Lighthouse Inn and retired from Paragon Electric Co. She was an active member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, where she made so many wonderful friends, she enjoyed being at church not only cleaning the church, but also helping prepare and serving lunches at the school. Leona put her green thumb to use in her garden, volunteered at the Two Rivers Sr. Center, where she also helped with Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Two Rivers Historical Society and also helped in the gift shop at Point Beach State Park.
Survivors include her children: Anita (Dale) Behnke of Reedsville, Dale (Janice) Siebert of Waukesha, Bruce Siebert and Lorna Schneider of Argonne and Vicky (Joe) Schaus of Suamico; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; two sisters: Vivian Schmidt and Rosa Kovarik; and in-laws: Patsy Shedal and Warren Wentorf; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Robert (Carol) Nehring, Violet (David) Craft, Bernard Shedal, Beatrice (Ronald) Novak, Bernice Wentorf and LaVern (Elmyra) Shedal; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Herbert and Alma Siebert; and in-laws: William and Darlene Siebert and Patricia and Al Kobus.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt, with burial of her cremated remains at Knollwood Memorial Park, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Monday morning, June 27, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
