Mareesa J. Taddy, age 73, lifetime resident of Two Rivers, passed away Sunday evening, March 5, 2023 at the Hamilton Care Center in Two Rivers.
Mareesa was born in Two Rivers on March 27, 1949 to Harold and Betty (King) Schultz. She attended St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1967, then furthered her education at Lakeshore Technical College. On October 24, 1970, she married Don Taddy at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Mareesa held various secretarial jobs in numerous businesses over the years which included employment at the Herald Times Reporter in Manitowoc, and retiring from Krajnik Chevrolet in Two Rivers. Throughout the years Mareesa remained very involved at her church as a Eucharistic Minister and an active member of the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman. She enjoyed reading and knitting in her spare time, but above all treasured the time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Don Taddy; daughter & son-in-law, Kelly (Chris) Satori of Hortonville; one son, Eric Taddy of Two Rivers; and her five grandkids: Carly, Kyle, Evan, Nathan, and Elliot. She is further survived by two brothers & sisters-in-law: Keith (Chris) Schultz of Manitowoc, Craig (Joan) Schultz of Little Chute; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law include: Tony (Joan) Taddy of Two Rivers, Judy Taddy of Two Rivers, Pat (Kathy) Taddy of Waunakee, John (Barb) Taddy of Tisch Mills; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Betty Schultz; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Luke and Ruth Ann Taddy; one brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Jim and Merle Taddy; and an infant brother, Bruce.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the memorial mass with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Friday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
