Marilyn Wachowski Hampel

Marilyn Wachowski-Hampel, age 92 of Two Rivers, died peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023.

Marilyn was born in Two Rivers on June 3, 1930 to Edward and Martha Schwers Meyer and attended schools in Two Rivers. On January 29, 1949, she married Lloyd Wachowski and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1972. She later married Harold Hampel on August 15, 1981. He also preceded her in death, January 28, 1996.

Marilyn was employed at Paragon Electric for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, an occasional trip to the casino, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. For 13 years, she enjoyed spending the winter months in Las Vegas; she was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers; and will be remembered by many for her warm heart, and being a very kind, classy lady.

Survivors include her children: Julie Apted, Bruce (Jan) Wachowski, and Brian (Barb) Wachowski, all of Two Rivers; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Martha Meyer; first husband, Lloyd Wachowski, second husband, Harold Hampel; son-in-law, David Apted; one sister, three brothers, and a special friend, Victor Simon.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Monday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.
