Marjorie Ann Hochkammer

Marjorie Ann (Thomas) Hochkammer, age 94, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at Shady Lane Assisted Living & Rehab on March 24, 2023.
Marjorie was born on November 28, 1928, in Hobart, Indiana, to John and Olive (Yahr) Thomas. She married Howard Hochkammer on April 30, 1949 and they were married for 65 years. She worked side by side with Howard for many years in the grocery business. Marjorie also enjoyed working part time at Stocks Manufacturing. She loved baking, making big meals, sewing, gardening and canning. She took great pride in helping her daughter and son-in-law build their log home. What brought her the greatest joy was spending time with her family along with babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her two children: Peggy Weyer and Perry (Diane) Hochkammer; five grandchildren: Melissa (Dennis) Riemer, Jessica (Liz) Weyer, Brock Weyer, Andrew and Adam Hochkammer; two step grandchildren: Ashley and Kelsey Fagan; three great grandchildren: Mikayla and Hailey Riemer and Warren Hochkammer. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Howard; son-in-law: Jerry Weyer; siblings: Jule Thomas, Buddy (Lorraine) Thomas, Laura Thomas and Delmar Thomas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Elmer Hochkammer, Elda (Alfred) Hackmann, Lavern (Orville) Karstaedt, Florence (Art) Luebke and Delores (Gussie) Stock.
The family would like to sincerely thank the 2nd and 4th floor staff at Shady Lane for the wonderful care and compassion given to Marjorie over the past two years. They would also like to thank the staff of Sharon Richardson Hospice Care for their professional dedication.
According to Marjorie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service held. Cremation has occurred.
