Mary E. (Gordon) Vanleishout

Mary E. (Gordon) VanLeishout, age 68, of Two Rivers, passed away unexpectedly at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, with family at her side.
Mary was born on July 7, 1952, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Donald and Agnes (Debauche) Gordon. She graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1970. On October 5, 1974, she married William “Bill” VanLeishout at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2018. Mary worked at Mirro Aluminum Co. For over 29 years and was then employed at Payless Shoes for 5 years before retiring. She loved to spend time with her grandson, watching the car races her family was involved in, enjoyed reading, creating diamond dots pictures and doing word search puzzles.
Survivors include her two sons: J.R. VanLeishout and Michael VanLeishout and his girlfriend, Tia Vandenbush; very special grandson, who she adored: William Robert VanLeishout; Tia’s daughters, Mina and Olivia; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron and Alice Gordon and Tom and Sandy Gordon; her in-laws: Vince (Judy) Bradley, Veronica “Ronnie” Vertz and Mary Lou Bradley. She is further survived by nieces and nephews: Mark (Becky) Gordon, Scott (Josephine) Gordon, Tina (Dean) Downing, Tammy (Tom) Lawler, James Gordon (Rachel), Brenda (Jeff) Gordon, Greg (Becky) Gordon; step nephew: Billy (Kathy) Ploor; along with great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Steven and Charles Gordon; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Ethel VanLeishout; step father: Fred Ploor; step brother: Butch (Caroline) Ploor and in-laws: Maynard VanLeishout, Clem Bradley and Roger Vertz.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Mary’s life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers.
