Mary A. Messman

Mary A. Messman, age 74, of 5925 Johnston Dr., Two Rivers, died Wednesday night, August 21, 2024, at Azura Memory Care of Manitowoc. Mary was born on April 14, 1950, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Babich) Ploor. She graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1968. On April 13, 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, Gary J. Messman, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, he preceded her in death on September 1, 2012. Mary was employed at Paragon for 31 years and then worked at Walmart for over 10 years. She enjoyed the simple life, dedicating her time to her kids, grandkids and granddogs. Mary enjoyed family time at their cottage in Door County and dinners with her family as well as checking in on Facebook and playing computer games.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law: Brianne and Nathan Tetzlaff of Two Rivers and Samantha and Zach Green of Mishicot; her grandson: Jackson Green; her granddaughter: Andi Green; her granddogs: Lily, Lexi, Frankie, Isabella, Kaya, Charli and Billie; her sister: Jackie Hall and her nephew: John Hall. She is further survived by her in-laws: Cheryl (Kevin) Perry, Danny Messman and Jeanne Messman; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her step father: Fritz Niesing; father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Emily Messman; sister-in-law: Mary Lou Messman and brother-in-law: Jack Messman.
A memorial visitation will be held at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
