Nancy J. Orchekowski

Nancy J. Orchekowski, age 88, longtime resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, March 7, 2024 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, with her family at her side.

Nancy was born in Two Rivers on December 15, 1935 to Owen (Hans) and Melania T. (Borusky) Henrickson. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1954. On May 2nd, 1959, she married Roger "Archie" Orchekowski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with two sons and 57 years of marriage. Archie preceded her in death June 29, 2016.

Nancy worked in the offices of Hamilton Industries for several years, followed by employment with Northwest Airlines, and Paragon Electric for 27 years. She also worked for Sauve's Office Supply in Two Rivers for seven years; and enjoyed seasonal work at Beerntsen's Confectionary of Manitowoc for many years. Nancy was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish where she served as Eucharistic Minister at the church and was a member of the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman. She served on the school board of Roncalli High School, and along with her husband, served as past president of the Roncalli Athletic Association. Nancy was a huge sports fan, enjoyed playing the slots, and loved finding a good bargain!

She is survived by her two sons: Randal (Lynne) Orchekowski and Dr. Michael (Deanna) Orchekowski; two grandchildren: Erin and Benjamin Orchekowski; her great-niece, Reese Clausen and Reese's mother, Haley Clausen; two brothers: Tom (Jeanine) Henrickson, Philip Henrickson (partner, Cheryl); special nephew, Christopher (Michelle) LeClair; and a brother-in-law, LeRoy (Kris) Orchekowski; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Melania Henrickson; her husband, Archie; two sisters: Kathleen Henrickson and Mary Lou LeClair; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Lenny (Yvonne) Henrickson, and Majel Henrickson; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Harry and Clara Orchekowski.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier, with entombment in Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
