Olive Ann Cretton

October 13, 1935 — June 20, 2022

Olive A. Cretton, age 86, former Mishicot resident, currently residing at Felician Village - The Court, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, June 20, 2022, with her family by her side.

Olive was born to Frank and Tillie (Fidler) Kvitek of Maribel on October 13, 1935. She graduated in May, 1953 from Denmark High School. On October 6, 1956, she married Norbert "Nubbie" Cretton at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Norbert preceded her in death on May 16, 2015. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, where she served as an usher for many years and volunteered for the Holy Cross Bingo Committee for over 10 years. In her early years, she was a den mother for Cub Scouts and belonged to the Spookers Homemakers which started the Mishicot Village-Wide Rummage Sales in May, 1991. Olive planted flowers for many years for Cretton Enterprises and was also a member of M.A.G.I.C. She worked at Krause's Shopping Center / Main Street Market in Mishicot for over 34 years. She loved working her flower beds, cooking, watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, as well as traveling trips throughout the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and Europe. She was also a member of the Northeastern Wisconsin Great Lakes Sport Fishing Association. She loved to play cards, especially Tripoly and Sheepshead with family and friends; and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Olive is survived by her three children: son, Mark (Donna) Cretton; two daughters, Ann (Edwin) Schad, Lynn (Brent) Wilkerson, all of Two Rivers; six grandchildren: Kendra (Joshua), Tori (Brad), Amy, Neal, Brianna (Rob), Amanda (Xavier); and two step-grandchildren, Colby and Bailey; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Ava, Annamae, and Hudson, with a future great-grandchild due in July. She is further survived by one sister, Dorothy Krejcarek, and one sister-in-law, Betty Kvitek along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; her father and mother, Frank and Tillie Kvitek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Viola Cretton; brother, Victor Kvitek; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Joseph Delsman; brother-in-law, Leroy Krejcarek; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Kenneth Sosnosky.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Christian Raj O.Praem with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Mishicot.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Monday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
