Patricia S. "Patti" Engelbrecht, age 71 of Manitowoc, passed away with her family at her side Sunday night, January 7, 2024 at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Patti was born in Two Rivers on August 26, 1952 to Earl and Pearl (Plansky) Mathiesen. She attended St. Mark's Catholic grade school and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1971. On October 14, 1972, she married Joel Engelbrecht at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Over the years, Patti worked at the Q-Mart, Kwik Trip, and recently retired from Vista Care Assisted Living where she was employed as a caregiver. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, indoor gardening, shopping and stopping at local garage sales, as well as time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Joel; two daughters & sons-in-law, Christine (Chris) Ruelle of Athelstane, Julie (Erich) Jaskolski of Two Rivers; one son, Andrew Engelbrecht of Manitowoc; and her grandchildren: Kyle, Ethan, Caitlyn, Zara, and Sheridan. She is further survived by one sister, Lori (Pete) Dassey of Two Rivers; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Michael Dewey of Two Rivers, Scott (Lori) Engelbrecht of Manitowoc, Judy (Steve) Rueckl of New Franken; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pearl Mathiesen; one daughter, Stacy Lynn Wellner; one sister, Peggy Dewey; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Alfred and Evangeline Engelbrecht.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Entombment will follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
