Paul M. Dier

Paul M. Dier, age 74 of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday evening, January 13, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Paul was born July 26th, 1947 in Brussels, WI to Alex and Julia (Tlachac) Dier. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1965, then served his country as a member of the United States Army, and later earned his associates degree from Fox Valley Technical College. Paul was united in marriage to Brigitte Gahlert in July of 1982 at St. Luke's in Two Rivers. He was employed as a surveyor for over twenty-five years with the U.S. Department of Interior-Bureau of Reclamation until his retirement. Prior to that time he also worked at Paragon Electric and the Manitowoc Shipyards. Paul enjoyed taking walks, gardening, woodworking, and doing yardwork.

He is survived by his wife, Brigitte; one step-daughter, Kristina (Kouri) Penn of South Lake Tahoe, CA, and their children: Knilah and Kanyon; two brothers: Francis Dier and James Dier, both of Two Rivers; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Julia Dier; one brother, Anthony Dier; one sister, Margaret Nemec; and two sisters-in-law: Lynda and Ann Dier.

A memorial service for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate the service. Cremation has taken place.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
