Paul A. Hanson

Paul A. Hanson, age 86, a longtime Two Rivers resident, died unexpectedly, at home, on Friday,  November 17, 2023.
Paul was born on March 5, 1937, in Waupun, son of the late Harold H. and Georgia O. (Griffith) Hanson.  On July 26, 1958, Paul married Patricia K. Brown in Fond du Lac. Paul served in the U.S. Navy at the Glenview Naval Air Station in Glenview, Ill., from 1957 to 1961. Paul held a commercial pilot license and was the Manager of the Manitowoc County Airport for 34 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed trap shooting, singing in the choir at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and traveling with his wife, Patricia.
Survivors include his wife: Patrica Hanson; five children: John (Karen) Hanson of Kaukauna, Kathy (Rick) Scherer of Appleton, Debby Hanson of Green Bay, Jean (Mark) Zemke of Sheboygan and Beth (Chad) Carrow of Painesville, Ohio; eight grandchildren: John Hanson, Alisha (Austin) Bisbee, Ryan (Shelly) Hanson, Chris (Mari Anne) Goettig, Andy Goettig, Rebecca Scherer, Tryston Carrow and Samantha Carrow; fourteen great grandchildren; and his sister: Sally Rieder; along with other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military honors, accorded by members of VFW Post #1248 & American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers, will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
