Peggy Gauger

Peggy A. Gauger, age 62, a resident of Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 23, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Manitowoc on March 31, 1961 to Sherman Throndson and Pat Wech. Peggy graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1979 and worked for the Cawley Company for over 40 years. She recently retired as a supervisor with the company. On August 8, 1980, she married David E. Gauger, Sr. in Manitowoc. Dave preceded her in death on January 25, 2022.

Over the years, Peggy enjoyed watching her husband and kids race, gardening, and watching her grandchildren play sports

She is survived by her children: Rachel Gauger of Manitowoc, Heather Meeuwsen of Green Bay, and David (Brooke) Gauger of Two Rivers; her mother & step-father, Pat and Dale Wech of Manitowoc; and step-mother, Lois Throndson of Mishicot. Her grandchildren include: Katrina (Dakota) Kangas, Teagen Gauger, Daryn Smith, Tenleigh Gauger, Braxtyn Smith, and grand-puppy, Buttons; brothers & sisters: Vickie House (Gregg Kutil) of Two Rivers, Nancy Sheltren of Bakersfield, CA, Scott (Martha) Throndson, Todd (Dayna) Wech, Mark (Darcy) Wech, all of Manitowoc, Kim (Don) Haack of Mishicot. She is further survived by a special friend & aunt, Laurie Hoppe of Manitowoc; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Throndson; her husband, Dave Gauger, Sr.; one granddaughter, Tiarra Gauger; one brother, Cory Throndson; and her in-laws, Shirley and Karl Gauger.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers, Thursday evening, April 27th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

A time of reflection and sharing of memories will take place at the funeral home Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
