Randy L. Stueck, age 90, sailed into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Randy was born in Two Rivers on January 29, 1933, to Harvey and Dorothy Dallmann Stueck. He graduated from Two Rivers High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1953-1957. His service years were spent on many U.S. rivers and four of the five Great Lakes. He married Carole Knope at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers, on February 4, 1961.
Randy spent most of his working years at Manitowoc Company from where he retired after 44 years. He was a longtime volunteer at Rogers Street Fishing Village in Two Rivers where he enjoyed sharing his love of maritime history. He was one of the first people to get the Kahlenberg marine diesel engine running at the museum. Randy was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Mishicot, where he enjoyed volunteering and helping others. He had numerous interests including boats, car racing, mushroom picking, walking, reading, and storytelling (especially to his many grandchildren). One of his hobbies included making a model boat for each of his eight children.
Randy is survived by his 8 children; Boyd (Lynn) Stueck of Mishicot, Teri Sturm (Jeff Reichard) of Manitowoc, Liz (Mike) Mullane of Random Lake, Victoria Schlaack of Brookfield, Jessi (Dan) Stein of Denmark, Jennie Meyer of Manitowoc, Adam (Shawna) Stueck, and Edwin Stueck, all of DePere; grandchildren include: Brandon, Andrew, Jeffrey, Nicholas (Rocky Gupta), and Daniel Stueck; Hannah and Aaron Sturm; Sean and Ashley Mullane; Zakary Meyer (fiance, Casey Gianacakes), and Madison Meyer; Logan, Kaia, and Mystique Stueck; along with one great-grandchild, Riolyn Meyer. He is further survived by one sister-in-law, Ginger Oren; and one brother-in-law, Bucky (Lois) Knope; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Randy will be missed by family and friends near and far.
Preceding Randy in death were his wife, Carole; his parents, Harvey and Dorothy Stueck; two sisters: Arlene Smith and Elaine Oman; sister-in-law, Elaine Senovich; three brothers-in-law: George Senovich, Jesse Smith, and Jack Oren; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Cele Knope.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 325 Randolph Street, Mishicot. Rev. Joel Stuebs will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in the Mishicot Public Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by members of the American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Monday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
